In this post we are going to install IIS 8 on Windows Server 2012. To install IIS 8, use the following steps:
1) Open Server Manager.
2) Click on Manage Menu and select Add Roles and Features. 3) Select Role-based or Feature-based Installation.
4) Select the Server you want to install IIS on.
5) Select Web Server (IIS) and click on Add Feature on the window that pops up for IIS pre-requisites.
6) Select any additional features if required and Click on Next.
7) Read the Description click Next.
8) Customize your installation of IIS, or accept the default settings that have already been selected for you, and then click Next.
9) Review your configuration, go back to make any changes, if everything is fine click Install
10) Installation has Finished you can click Close to exit the wizard.
Open Internet Explorer and visit http://localhost to see the default IIS webpage.

So, ask the guys @ XS4all to install OSXVnc on the Xserve, then you’ll be able to login with any VNC clneit. Either that or they should fork up the $300 for you XS4ALL is contractually obligated to keep the temp. in a specific range, I think it’s somewhere between 15-25 c. If the cooling towers give out temps rise to 40c in about an hour (or so I was told), quite a bit of the colo fee actually goes to the cooling installation! The sweat is probably more from my excitement -andy
